Sado International Museum of Art

This exhibition showcases works by great artists from around the world, including father and son artists Fuyu, Yuda, and Syunda Azuma.



Fuyu Azuma

Born in Dalian, China. Graduated from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and the Niigata University Graduate School. Is currently the administrative director and headmaster of the International Art College of Niigata and Sado International Education Academy, executive director of the International Watercolor Painting Association, and stationmaster of the Sado roadside station “Geinou to Toki no Sato”.

Yuda Azuma

Born in Niigata. Apprentice to father Fuyu Azuma. Graduated from Niigata University’s Department of Japanese Paintings. Is currently the chief instructor of watercolor and Japanese painting at the International Art College of Niigata and Sado International Education Academy, executive board member of the International Watercolor Painting Association, and committee member of the Sado City Art Exhibition (exempted from examination).

Syunda Azuma

Born in Niigata. Apprentice to father Fuyu Azuma. Graduated from Shenyang Normal University in China, and studied watercolor painting in London, U.K. Is currently the chief instructor of watercolor and oil painting at the International Art College of Niigata and Sado International Education Academy, executive board member of the International Watercolor Painting Association, and part-time instructor at Sado High School.
